Flights of Fancy: Bird Feather Art by Chris Maynard

Meticulous cutting and an imaginative use of colour are to be found in Chris Maynard’s work, who likes to cut the figures of birds out of real feathers for turkeys, crow feathers for crows and so on. Most of the feathers that he uses come from bright-coloured animals that are not native in Maynard’s homeland, such as hummingbirds and peacocks.
